During my month in Toulouse I took a daytrip to Bordeaux. I went in with very few expectations. I thought perhaps I’d get a train to the seaside. Try a canelé. Visit a winery.
While I did have canelé, I was so amazed by Bordeaux’s beauty that I never left the city. If you can go, take a stroll up the riverfront, check out the Girondins monument, and look at all the fantastic architecture. That’s without even thinking of visiting a museum, gallery, opera house or shopping along the longest pedestrian street in Europe, Rue Sainte-Catherine.
My personal favourite was Le Miroir D’eau at sunset. Which is reflected in the photos I chose for this post. A truly magical experience and a must for any visit to Bordeaux.
I can’t wait to go back.
